Guest Anonymous
What is an acceptable range for plug wire resistance. Mine vary from a high of 14k ohms to a low of 9k. Seems like a big range, especially when the shortest wire isn't the lowest and the longest isn't the highest. I'm having trouble passing emissions test (high hc at idle) so I'm looking for possible reasons. Thanks Dan
Mike C
Here are some general suggestions. (1k-4k ohms/ft) http://www.inct.net/~autotips/plugwire.htm Here is a link on MSD plug wires, they only have 40-50 (NOT K) ohms/ft! http://www.msdignition.com/1wires.htm I like Taylor Spiro pros the best. 80LS1T
I have always heard that 3-7K per foot is acceptable. I don't know about performance wires though? Guy
