Danno74Z
Big Phil That is a great deal provided everything is in working order. Did you have the opportunity to see the engine run? Most fuel injected engines have a long life so 64K is about middle age - like me Danno74Z 95LT1 T56
Lone Star 1
Try High Perfomance salvage WWW.hpsalvage.com. I think his name is Mike and he is good man to work with.
Guest Big Phil
I contacted Billy Graham's Firebird and Camaro Salvage, his best price for a 94 LT1 with a T56 trans was $4450 plus $350 shipping. HP Salvage wanted $3665.00 plus $250 shipping for 95 LT1 with a T56. Both of these motors had a six speed instead of an automatic but I don't think a different trans is worth the $1100 to $1950 difference. I rather spend that cash on motor upgrades since the car would probably be quicker. Phil

Guest Big Phil
I spoke to a guy at GM Sport Salvage in San Jose, California and he is willing to sell me a 95 LT1 with automatic trans for $2500. The motor and trans were pulled from a 95 camaro with 64000 miles and price includes the wiring harness, accesories, driveshaft and computer. I have been looking at different options and it seems like a very competitive price. What do you guys think. Phil

DavyZ
GM Sports Salvage is where Mike Knell gets all his stuff from. Also, they do warranty their stuff too. I bought my Camaro V8 from them. Davy
Guest Anonymous
You guys might want to check with Scott at Speed Automotive in Tennessee http://www.speedautomotive.com He specializes in salvage for 4th Gen F-bodies, and he's far less expensive than Billy Graham. Guest RisqueRace?
WOW, it's been awhile since I have posted here, good to see the site growing. I just bought a 97 lt1/AOD assembly from HPSalvage. 64K miles. The engine, trans, harness, computers, cats, and driveshaft, all arrived in excellent condition. Price was as Mike advertised for a lt1/auto, 2600.00 plus shipping to MN added 355.00 It's in the car and WILL be done by the spring thaw. Big Phil, I think the price sounds like a decent deal. Especially if you do not want to spend a year like myself looking for a powerplant Good Luck Bruce
