ToplessZ
Well first hello everyone Im finally registered. I have to say I love this forum passionatly. I have this problem...I happen to be in love with z cars. OK heres the deal I found what appears to be exactly what im looking for on zcars.com its a convertible conversion done on a 1977 280z it also has the round tail lights, Jim cook wide rear fenders, and motersport front valance, It needs a little fiberglass touchup, paint. It was running till the drivetrain was removed. This is ok for me because a 350 swap is inline. I need to know is 1000.00 too much for it. IT also has good centerline rims and new tires? I will probably have to pay abot 350 or 400 for s+h
Mikelly
If the flares are done properly and the convertible conversion was done right, JUMP ON IT! Get lots of pics, and if you can, Take a trip out to see the car. Airfare into LA is going for $220 right now on Hotwire.com! I'd fly out and take a look at the car, then make your decision. Guest Anonymous
Do you know if the convertible conversion is all steel or fiberglass cap? Z Therapy made a very good all steel conversion that incorporated a TR7 rag top. I saw one of these conversions recently and it was nice with a very good opening trunk. A 1000 bucks is not much to pay for the convertible conversion. Looks like you get the car for free plus the Corvette style tail lights. I have an Origin convertible conversion kit with the Jim Cook fenders. The trunk on this conversion is a sink hole for water since it is in the middle of the trunk area with no provisions for water runoff. I have a fiberglass hardtop but would prefer the rag top.
