Bernardd Posted March 11, 2003 Share Posted March 11, 2003 Guys, a co-worker is selling his Supra (89) in spring. The car is rusty but not abused. I would go so far as to say he drives like a granny. It's got around 270 k's on it. He only wants around 2k canadian for it. That's around 1400.00 USD and you can drive it home. The only issue is that it has an idle problem. Oh yeah, it's a 5spd. I love these cars and that is probably the engine I'm going to use 7M-gte. I don't know what you want to do with the car but go for it, or I'll go for it . Guest Anonymous Posted June 25, 2003 Share Posted June 25, 2003 I have a 89 Supra. Awsome Awsome car. The 7m-gte is a great engine. If it is the 7m-ge, non turbo engine, then do not waste your money. The non turbos have no aftermarket and rarely have brake 300hp. The turbo on the other hand can easily reach 600hp with just bolt ons. Just make sure that it does not have a blown head gasket, huge prolem with these cars. If anyone does get this car the first thing I would do is put on a metal head gasket. Just my $.02.
