Estimated HP is over 1,100

This motor is "NEW" and has never been fired!

Over $21,000 in parts alone!

Asking $15,000

Serious inquires only!

Call Johnson Racing (916) 481-9263 and ask for "Bob"

P.S. This is one serious BADAZZ motor!

That is a work of art-has he tried selling it to an art museum?

What are the:

1) Connecting Arm Lengths

2) Piston Compressrion Height

3) Stroke in inches

4) Block Deck Height

5) Cam Duration "Seat to Seat or Advertised measurement"...not the @ .050" measurement

That really is a real piece of work: very nice.

Kevin,

Thx much Kevin,

Yea I hardly ever see it anymore. Been stored at the inlaws house for well over a year. No room in the 2 car garage with the Z and Camaro, SuperDans cherrypicker, rollaways etc etc.

I just noticed that nasty Ford BB was 15 grand. The big power BBs like that are always insane money. Even the CHevys. Still usually best to build yourself I think. Hell, I only have 5500 in my BB and its got a forged 4340 rotating assembly and some nice bits. My MIT buddy designed it and he says itll handle another 300 worth of nitrous without breakin a sweat. That means things are gonna get nuts once I get used to the NA 600 at the track. But its a street car :twisted:

Should liven up those trips to Walmart and work.

Man! That is a work of art! But big blocks are hard to fit in a 280Z..Not sure if I want to spend that much..He'll have to advertise on e-bay, maybe http://www.Kitcar.com., Diablo Dealer, Dupont Car Magazine. Just a few suggestions. I'm looking for a Ford or Corvette Engine but, man, If I had that, I wouldn't be able to drive too far without blowing away a cop car just for the fun of it...Even CHP on the freeway...

I'll keep my ears open.

Hudson's Hawk, if you are interested in a Ford or Chevy motor for your 280Z, the same engine builder that built the the above mentioned 600 CID can build you what ever you want. Bob Johson of Johnson Racing builds them to last and is a good friend, so I have confidence when I recommend him. I only recommend quality people, just ask Dan Juday.

Hey Mark, Thanks for the info...This is a work in progress. I enjoy reading all the information about all the potential one can put into their car...I missed my first opportunity 7 years ago when I started this car. I came across a 240Z with a 302 Ford made to order 3weeks after I had picked up my donor car and took it to Rory's for the kit conversion for the body. Now, 7 years later, several of my friends have done V8's in their's. I'm getting left behind...LOL...Literally...LOL...So, to keep up with the Z Jones's...I'm making the leap of faith...I e-mailed Dan to see how his work on Steve's conversion went. Need to know what happen, problems encounter, things to avoid, which engine to use and trans...I'm looking for something that's powerful but subtle...Just to get that extra quick kick when I step on the gas and feel the thrill..
