Arif
My new rims recently arrived in the mail. I took the measurements for the spacers and while I was under the car I looked at the drum brakes and said "you know...these 17 in rims are going to make those drum brakes look silly" then I also thought while I am upgrading the brakes and wheels how about that CV upgrade I have been putting off? What started out as a wheel/tire upgrade will end up with a much more expensive rear end upgrade. Oh well as my wife says that car will never be done. She is probably right. Did I mention Ross is my new best friend.
ZR8ED
Ahhh man you are sick. Now you made me start thinking....my rims will be here next week (depending on slow downs at border/shipping etc..) I wonder how my rear drums will look behind my new rims?!! ahh Now you got me going! eh. maybe i'll just get those fake " rear disc brake kits" for the car... ya know the ones that they stuff on Caveliers etc.. to make them look like they have a big rear disc brake set up...yet still have drums?... hehehe hmmmmmm ...NOT!!! :malebitchslap: I suppose I'll just the do the same as you.. fit the wheels on the car and take it one step at a time... (though I'm quite satisfied with the stopping ability of the car...I'd only be changing it for looks)..ewww...does that make me or my Z a ricer?. hehehe Congratulations on the rims! I hope it works out for you, and I hope your wife does not find the receipts!
Arif
Yeah I thought about those fake cavalier brakes, the ones that are cross drilled 8) . The car stops realy well (Toyota 4x4 brakes up front) so like you it will be just for looks. I do need the CVs though because the u joints are living on borrowed time. I figure if I can survive on a diet of ramen (sp) noodles I will save enough money for all these upgrades. Hey ZR8ed I see your "other" car is the same as mine. I have a white 3.5 Altima. That is one quick car and a good substitute for the Z (if there ever was one).
Mudge
Ramen tastes good, but man it is a killer with sodium and fat levels. I eat alot of turkey burgers right now but that too puts my sodium rather high, so I make up the rest of my protein intake with whey and milk. I was at a 200% sodium intake level previously, although I'm heavier than the 170 pound college student they used to conduct the study with. Georgia Flash
Try putting a little slice of cheese on those Ramen noodles. By the way here is my latest while I was at it mania in progress!
denny411
About 10 yrs ago, I was actually in such poor financial condition that Rammen noodles were all I could afford. Back then they were even cheaper than now, but I would get them at Odd Lotts for .05 a pack. A complete meal would consist of 2 packs of Rammen and a glass of milk. My grocery bill was about 8.00 a week. Thinking back...I`m almost ashamed of the money that I waste now, even though most people that know me would say that I`m the cheapest person they know. Guest Aaron
When I was in college, my grocery bill was $35/month. Ramen noodles with fried bologna was good eating.
