Need quick help

Recommended Posts

Hello guys, most of you are probably watching Bristle right now but here goes.

Anyone out there that has the factory shop manual for the 75 Z tell me what the torque is for the R-200 cover bolts. I am putting mine back togeher and need to know asap.

Also I have a new gasket would you guys use RTV and the gasket or maybe just the gasket?

Let me know fellas.

Thanks :D

Actually watching Indy while waiting for fiberglass filler to set up....

Here you go:

16-24Nm, 1.6-2.4 kg/m, or 12-17 ft/lb.

I've never had much luck with gaskets back there. Either use the gasket with a LITTLE hylomar, or just use silicon.

Thanks Tim,

Man that Kurt Bush is one hell of a race car driver!!

I think I will use a little silicone and the gasket on the cover, thanks for the torque specs. I have the R-200 painted bright ford engine blue along with the half shafts and the cover is painted with an aluminum wheel paint. Of course all of that is covered in a couple of layers of clear coat.

Yep I know, no one will ever see this handy dandy paint job but I will know it's there :D

Georgia, probably because it requires authentication/login. I see nada and am on high speed internet.

YahooFS (file share) requires authentication, or to be setup for open viewing, and I think you need to provide a link I dont think IMG URL mapping works from thier servers but I dont recall. Many hosts block remote viewing, unless your paying for a website/service etc

I use RTV in tons of places and have zero problems with it, just make sure the surface is clean!
