Guest Russ240z
Are aluminum balancers for the street?
Mike C
No. They aren't actually a balancer but a hub. No elastomer. Stay with a damper for maximum longevity. If you want to reduce inertial mass, do it at the other end.
V8ZRACER260Z
In addition if your planning on turning past 5000 rpm I highly recomend a Fluid type dampner or you can find out the hard way like I did that a stock type dampner will blow apart. I use a Fluid Dampner on mine now for over two years with no problems and it sees 7000 Rpm on a regular basis. Rick
DavyZ
Do you think a stock unit will live if it sees 5500 rpm on a regular basis and 6000 rpm only on occassion? I would like to keep the stock balancer on my engine, but I do have a Fluidampr I was saving for a 'race' engine build-up. Davy
