Guest Anonymous
I am lookinf for a turn jey engine (complete) price isnt that big of a deal but ofcoarse want it to be lowest if possable, I was wandering if either of these are a good deal. http://www.enginefactory.com/350hp.htm this one complete is $4,175 http://www.enginefactory.com/390hp.htm this one complete is $4,775 I am thinking if I get an egngine with around 350hp(at flywheel) to 400hp. I do not want to have to do all the work myself and assemble the engine. I am just wandering if these are ok prices thats reall all. I like stuff to be new not used. Mike C
I'd by the GM ZZ4 crate motor. 355hp with a GM warranty. All new parts. 4 bolt main, steel crank hypereutectic pistons, powdered metal rods, aluminum heads, aluminum intake, HEI, hydraulic roller cam. $3500 or so. Tim240z
I'm with Mike on this one. GM has several crate motors which are as close to 'turn key' as one can get. They come with warranties and you are backed by a huge company, who will want to protect their reputation, so your satisfaction will concern them. Also, you can order one from your local dealer, so shipping won't be an issue, and you'll have a real life person to complain to if you run into any problems down the road. Check out places like Scoggin Dickey and the like. Tim
