Bernardd
I haven't actually run my car with the megasquirt/spark ecu's yet but it should work. The cas sends out a 0-5 volt square signal per cylinder. That's what mspark wants to see. Bernardd
pparaska
Megatweak http://members.shaw.ca/megasquirt/manual/mtune.htm (software) does automagic VE table tweeking of the Megasquirt based on O2 sensor output. I believe someone has implimented that with a DIY WBO2 to be able to have differing air/fuel ratios in the VE map that it would target. Bernardd
Now they've got Megasquirt'N'Megaspark in one. This is what I've been waiting for over a year. As soon as the code is made available I'm in. Bernard
pparaska
UltraMegaSquirt, I presume? I remember they were working on that. Glad it's ready. And I'm just now working on hooking my MS to my Holley Pro-jection harness...I see an upgrade coming!
Bernardd
It uses the output for the fast idle to trigger the coil. It's the squirt box with slightly different code. No need for two boxes now or any ford ignition parts.
Mudge
Sounds good, I have the Ford EDIS stuff but would not mind something easier to deal with.
Bernardd
Perhaps I spoke too soon. The new code for megasquirtnspark doesn't have any dwell calculations in it. Your supposed to a saab ignition module with it. It may well work with NA distributor as well. It must have the dwell built into the module as timing isn't run by ecu. Guest zline
that kind of defeats the purpose doesnt it?
