Phantom
I've had an '83Zx for about 10 months now while my '77Z has been Hybridizing. Did an oil and filter change tonight along with a new fuel filter and some new NGK V-groove plugs. Old plugs were white so it's obviously running a bit lean. I'll have to keep an eye on it - maybe needs a new 02 sensor also. Anyway - took it for a test run. Dumped it at about 3,000 RPM, laid down a double black stripe about 10' long, grabbed another foot or so in second and then shut down at 65 in less than an eighth. The old beast still has it at 205,000 miles.
Tim240z
I hear ya!! My ZXT has 275k on it and I dropped a new Mercedes V8 Kompressor off the line this evening. He gave this snobby smirk, so I Spooled up the turbo and dumped the clutch...left a car length behind until mid 2nd gear, but by then it had merged from 2 into 1 lane...ha ha ha Tim
JB_BA
It's amazing what a late model zx can do with a new set of tires too... (6) Mine were "new" about a month ago... My favorite thing to do on a rainy day is spin 'em through third at a red light...sort of like riding a jet-ski if you get it right.
