bumble zee
is it possible??? i want to do this so i can tell exactly what my engine is doing instead of going by fuel pressures, and a a/f guage. anybody done this?? this is on a 81zxt ecu
SleeperZ
The data you could log will not tell you the information your gauges will. You cannot measure fuel pressure, mixture or exhaust temperature from your ECU - you need the gauges. However, you can get a portable multichannel oscilloscope, like a Fluke graphical multimeter, and measure injector duty cycle (from the injector signal), timing advance (from the tach and the CAS), and airflow, at least the AFM signal - you could tell if it was maxxed out. Guest zrl
what do you want from the ecu? firing and fuel injection time? these are the only major control signals that ecu will send out. if you want other input signals: O2, air/fuel/engine/exhaust temperatures, pressures, rpm, speed, and etc, the ecu won't tell you. you have to get them from these sign lines.
