Savage42
Gee - and I thought it was the sleek good looks and sex appeal. Well, that too! 8)
Chaparral2f
I know that it shouldn't be too hard to find the stats ( lap times), if I wasn't so lazy, How do you think the Viper would hold up against something from the early '70's like for instance a GT40 mkII? Both race prepped, and running on comperable tires? Or just for the sake of discussion, a small block GT40. Or even the new GT that ford is selling. Although I admit that I don't know anything about that one. i was just owndering because there is a place in the UK that builds replicas of the 427 mk II for about $40 or $50,000. strotter
Yesterday I thought of this very thread - I was running my car "around the block" (about 10 miles in country and small town) when I was coming into Woodbridge (a little micro-town near where I live) what do I come across but a silver Viper coming the other way. It was being driven in a "spirited" manner by an older guy (early 60's?). I was *seriously* tempted to spin a quick u-turn and track him down, REALLY find out if a hybrid can keep up with a Viper, but I thought better of it. God, I hate being mature. Also I hate being in the middle of tuning. Someday, someday...
