Xander
I bought my 260Z when it was halfway through a restauration project. So far everything came with the car except the gas filler door. So I went to a guy here in holland who said he had one. I saw him unscrew it from the body of a 2X0Z. And guess what? It doesn't fit on my 260Z. The hinge seams to be to long. And it looks like it should be more tappered (the one I have now is to square). I would like to know when thay changed this so that I can get a good one. If someone has the right one for me I would love to buy it of them. (prefferably a locking one). Thanx Xander

Sleek Z
FastZcars, Tsk Tsk,, You have overlooked the most obvious and best source, ZPARTS.COM. I have a huge box with over 45 pristine gas doors from all years including the desireable chromed knob or locking typel. btw, gas doors are not all equal in used quality either. There are some areas of hidden damage that most restorers overlook before going to paint. Where ever you buy, check the backside for metal bending and rust under caulking seal.
