Guest Thurem
Guess you found the limit, was this a high RPM clutchdrop with a lot of boost? How much hp does your setup put out? What is your finaldrive ratio? If it is a low gearing (high numerical) it puts that much more stress on the halfshafts. Thure
Guest Anonymous
469rwh and 471 ftp at the wheels.I was going to go to a set of custom made axels and Porsche 930 cv joints, but decided to just bite the bullet and put a narrowed Ford 9" in the back.At the moment I am running a R200 with a NISMO LSD and 3.70's.With the 9" 4.11's will be possible with 11.5" slicks. This is the 4th u joint I have broken launching my car. Guest Phil1934
You'd have thought the flange bolts would have sheared before the joint. Any casting porosity?
Mike C
sss510, I'd be interested in that LSD if the price were fair...

Guest Anonymous
The clucth pack Nismo unit is already spoken for, the Torsen unit is for sale at a reasonable cost it will need stub axels from a S-15 180sx from AUS or Japan. If you are interested in the Torsen http://www.maddat.cjb.net might be able to help with the stub axels of course custom axels would have to be made. Mike C
Thanks, but one thing I like about my Z is that you can still do neat low-buck hop ups. Eventually I'll either buy a new one or find a junkyarder for what I want to spend. Keep us updated on your car. I think it's too cool and look forward to your posts.
