sd240z
I posted this yesterday in the RB series swap thought I'd try here: I just got an email from a guy in Japan who said an R32 Type M transmission (very strong) is almost a direct bolt up to an L28. Anyone got any info on this? Year, Engine...any mods...etc. I'm waiting for a reply from him also...I'll post if I find anything else. Thanks, Rob New info: I think this tranny comes off an RB20DET.....but still waiting for more info...

KAZU
hi guys i've been absent here for a while. i've moved to Japan with my 240z. BTW I'm just going to do the swap. i have RB20 tranny and I ordered modified front case and rear member yesterday. in short, the front case of 240z tranny can be bolt on the RB20 tranny with some modification. you can find some pics by google search with keywords, '71c RB site:jp'. unfortunately the RB20DET tranny is not so strong (someone rated 400 ps). R33 Type M RB25DET tranny is far stronger (-600ps) but it is not for bolt-on swap.
