J_B
I have a 89'300zx (non-turbo) and a 74 260z(early). Is there anything good i can take from the 300zx and put it into the 260z that would fit normally? Sometime, I'm gonna put a V-8 in the 260z. Dont really know whats good to take out. Thanks alot. Twentyfourouncer
You might want to use the rear differential when you make the V8 swap, its an R200 and can handle more power. However, I'm not sure if it has a good ratio.
Guest Anonymous
The differential is 3.90.
yo2001
I'll take the ECU off you if you don't want it.
Guest Anonymous
what you could do is forget the v8 conversion and do a turbo conversion,,, keep the amf. wireing harness, and like the other guy said the rear diff. it would save you alot of time and money.,,oh yeah,, the ecu also
JoeinCA
eh.... he said that it is a non-turbo car... and if he wants to do a v8 swap.... more power to him. (pun not intended) The seats from the 300ZX are kinda strange looking, but the ones that i have seen have electric adjustment, which is a nice feature. they really are very different cars. completely different suspension and body style. Some of the brake hardware may be useful? that is all i can think of that you can use (aside from what has already been mentioned). yo2001
Well, most eveything on the N/A Z31 can be use on the turbo conversion. All you need is to swap the ECU with turbo unit. I wanted the N/A ECU to get the JWT upgrade done on it.
