mas28O
I grew up in Houston and I would never want to live there again. The track is fun but Houston is too hot and flat....

jonzer12
Texas hot? This may sound ignorant but I flew from Detroit to Mexico with a stopover in Dallas last feburary and my cold prepped Canadian #$@ was frozen, I thought Texas was going to be warm, I couldn't stay outside long enough to have a smoke. Yes that is incredibly ignorant but I also met 3 doctors from Florida who drove their 3 new snow machines to Ontario last June and were upset that there was no snow! I think this may be off topic.....
Sparky
believe it or not, there is a HUGE difference in winter weather from dallas to houston. consider that they are around 400+ miles apart, (more or less straight north) most cold fronts seam to stop just north of austin in the winter, leaving San Antonio and H-town to bake in the heat. Down south we are lucky to even see a seasonal difference in weather. last FEB. when my girl friend and I went snowboarding, it was 87degrees when we left SA. and 2 degrees when we crossed the texas boarder into New Mexico. its a big state, and you can have many different kinds of weather at the same time all over the place. personally, I cant stand houston, but then again I have some personal issues with that place. probably pretty un-called for in the long run, but thats what makes humans humans. wow, /end rant. Cody 82 ZXT
I hate to say it but, I think Houston has even worse weather than Dallas. It must have to do with the close proximity to the coast. I've lived in Dallas all my life and I guess I've gotten used to the crazy weather here. I spent a couple of weeks in Houston during the winter there and the air was just funky. I'm sure someone from Houston would say thew same thing about Dallas weather.
Guest zfan
I lived just outside of Houston for 3 years and that was enough for me. But like you said it's home for some folks and I guess they like it. Mike
