Does anyone know of such a company or a how to guide?

yeah, they aren't what I'm looking for.

I want to out a different knid of headlight in all together. What I really want is somthing that looks somwhat like 575M or 360 Modena headlights.

here is the link http://www.rsportscars.com/foto/01/ferrari575m02_04_800.jpg

I am trying to elmianate the need for side marker lights. While remaining street legal.

and the 360 Modena

Well what I want to do is have them put into the G-Nose (if i decide to buy one. with all the extra work it needs iI don't know).

I don't need Ferrari headlights just that setup with the bulbs and reflectors.

Then I want covers so they can blend in to the body.

I maybe able to G-Nose style headlight covers that are modified if they even need to be modifed at all.

If you can imagine the bulb placment of the 360 Modena inside the area for the headlights on the G-Nose with some work done it will look real good. To me at least.

I am thinking that if I used the same placemnet as the Ferrari but just pulled it forward so it all fits it would be pretty simple. Then I could just use G-Nose headlight covers.

Do you understand what I mean?

Waht do you think that will look like?

I am pretty excited! Since I have been trying to figure this out for a while now.

there was a guy in southern california that had a 260 with flames painted on the front of it who took a set of fiberglass headlight covers and built in PIA headlights, which is similar to what you are trying to achieve. There should be a number of pictures of that car running around, I am sure you can contact motorsport auto, they would have some photos of it as well.

You might be able to get some ideas from that guys solution.

Thanks guys.

I'll try and find some photos of the Z car and of this motorcycle.

Every day all day long I look at ohter cars headlights and tail lights. I even go so far as when I am in a parking lot and I see somthing that I like I take some rough measurements with my hands ans then walk back to my car to see how it fits.

But I really think that putting some headlights that are the same size as those on the Ferrari and placing them the samr way is going to be my ticket.

The headlights don't have to even be off a Ferrari just what eveer fits in the space I have and looks good.

I haven't found a tail light solution yet though. This is as close as I have come. The grey would need to be pained the same color as my car but they are to riced out for me. The ones on the bottom middle

Only way you are going to get rid of the side markers is to fill them in. Use some light gage steel from the back side of the fender and tack weld the cut pieces and then fill the outer area with body filler... That is your best bet... You could use fiberglass matting, but I'd weld it if you have access to one so you can get a better fit, stronger finish!

I've done this on both of my cars...

Of course I'll have to fill in the lights.

But I want it to be street legal so I am going to setup up the headlight bucket to house the blinker.

Nice idea iskone has, but I see one fundmental problem between Ferrari example, which has a headlight scoop area much wider than tall, and that of the G-Nose head light scoop proportions which is equally as tall as wide and much longer in forward projection.

I have a Fairlady ZG parked outside my door with the real, original 5 piece G-Nose setup and head light fender extensions on it to envision your idea on and my guess is that it would be difficult to stuff many small lights in the opening in a way that would be visually appealing or balanced and functional. On the other hand, I am a frequent proponent of at least "trying" so I'd say it would be interesting to see what someone could come up with.

When you are looking for extra good photos of custom Z car modifications, including headlights, one of the best places on the Net to see a lot of it is at my website, ZPARTS.COM

Custom flamed and headlight moded car ya'all are referring to can be seen in detail at

The owner inquired about selling his 260Z show car on my website last year, but decided to try his luck on ebay first. Haven't heard from him since and I do not remember seeing his car at the West Coast Nationals last April in Orange, CA so perhaps he did sell it finally.
