Pop N Wood
Anyone have any dimensions for building my own engine dolly for a SBC? Looking for dimensions and how they mount to the block. JC Whitney has the universal ones for $50 but I have enough old casters and pipe to make it for less.
Guest greimann
You said dolly, but I thought would hijack this post to re-publish a neat engine stand idea that I saw in the picture below. If you are in the mood to build something try this:
Guest Island Son
greimann, Do you have any other pics of that stand, perhaps a couple from the side? Looks very interesting, and doable as well. Sonny

DavyZ
That engine stand is made from 2 three legged stands---looks easy enough. I have a 1 three legger I'll give away for FREE if anyone wants it. Local pickup only. Davy
Tim240z
If you want a true dolly that you can use to start the engine, and roll it around a knee level (less chance of tipping over), PAW has them for about $500 with gauges and start button and battery holder.
