100
Will a 15 x 7 with a -9mm offset have any rubbing. Will this be flush with the wheel well or stickout or in too much? Thanks
johnc
Might rub, not flush, too much in or out depends on what you think is too much.
100
Rub on fender or suspension?
johnc
Probably suspension, but the only way you'll know for sure is to mount them on the car.
Guest billy383Z
Also depends on what tire you intend to mount on your 15x7's...I have 205/60-15's mounted on 15x7's with -10 mm of offset, and the tire do not rub anywhere, and the front tires just BARELY rubbed the lower spring perch until I put a 5/16" spacer plate behind the front wheels. This effectively gives me only about -2mm of offset and NO rubbing. If I ran with a tire any larger than say a 215, I might have clearance problems with the rear tires. DatsunBoy77
Wouldn't negative offset push te wheel out towards the fender? I thought the more positive offset the tire gets moved in like if you tried to put a fwd wheel on it hits the strut. Negative would do the opposite, right? Guest billy383Z
You know, I think you are probably right...I was exceptionally tired when I got in last night after putting about 300 miles on my Z yesterday. My wheels have 10mm of Positive offset, not negative. I suppose if my 15x7's had negative offset, they wouldn't need spacers in the front and wouldn't rub on anything.
