JB_BA
Just a few more hours... a few months after throwing a rod, busting a hole in my block, and ripping the cam in half in 2 places...(no I didn't install the first motor) my 240 is about to be back on the road. All that's left is bolting up the headers, mounting the tranny, reconnecting the driveshaft, putting in the spark plugs/wires and crankin' her up. I should be done this afternoon. I'll take some pics as I drive her out of the garage into daylight for the first time in 8 weeks...(that's if all goes well...cross your fingers) 8) JB
JustAFantaZ
How did everything go? Do you have the pics online yet?
Tim240z
Don't be in a big hurry. After you are 100% sure that you did everything right, tightened all the bolts, set all clearances etc, stop and check everything again. Your first instinct, in the excitement to test your work, is to jump in and drive. Make sure you don't break something because you forgot to tighten a fastener or something. I don't want to see another..."I want to sell this car" post... Good luck! Tim
RPMS
I feel your excitement! I just finished the nuts and bolts of my install today, after working on it bit by bit for four years. Go slow, and catch your problems while they're still small ones. It would suck to find out 10 miles from home that in your excitement, you forgot to tighten the oilpan drain bolt!! Good luck, and Happy Birthday to your Hybrid!!!
