zguy95135
i finally got my autopower race rollbar. i found out that the instructions werent very specific. my main question is about the backing plates. i know they go in the wheel wells but how to the bolts go through? does the flat part go under the car and the threaded part go through the bar floor bracket? auxilary
I didn't have any instructions, I just put it in you want to have someone help and hold the bar for you in place while you drill holes for hte mounts. You install the bar into the car, in the wheel wells you put the curved plates to support the pressure. bolts goin in from wheel well up into the cabin. put nuts on the inside, bolt heads on the outside. that way you run no chance of hitting the bolt with the tire. zguy95135
i just did a fitment test, the rollbar brackets on the driver side are fine but the ones on the passenger side dont exactly fit flat with the wheel wells. is this ok or do I have to fix this? auxilary
that's fine, just make sure the bolt holes are evenly matched up on both sides, otherwise your bar will be crooked. When you tighten it down, it'll fit well, as bolts will pull everything into place.
