Guest ZmeFly
well the shop refuses to repair or redo any of the work, he says that the only place he knows of that does mandrel bends is in california, hmmm. he says he never told me he can do mandrel bends. if that were true i would have never went there to beging with. he had no problem admitting that he did use radiator hose and that was just fine, he wanted to go the cheapest route possible, (his own words) and that since i wasnt running more the 15#'s of boost that there wouldnt be a problem. i can get the silicone hoses as was promised to begin with but at the tone of 60 more dollars. hmm i can get 3 feet of silicone hose for less then that. there is nothing else he will redo at all. says the work is good. he did say that he would fix the scratch that they did and "if" the dented the ic he would replace it. that is all. i think i will have to get the bbb involved to be satisfied as the work is half rate. oh the rad support that was cut unecessarily, well thats just an oh well as far as they are concerned. i think small claims court might be anoter venue that i will have to look into
JMortensen
Did you pay by cc? If so, dispute the charge with Visa or MC or whoever. The BBB can pressure the shop, the cc company can give you a refund. Note to ALL: If you pay by cc the cc companies will be your advocate if something goes wrong. If I ever buy anything expensive and have any question about it, I stick it on the card just for that reason. BUT - don't just dispute anything you put on the card because you don't like what you bought, because it costs the merchants money to fight it, and if you were wrong the merchant still gets screwed. dmyntti
I agree with Jon. If you payed with credit card let the credit card company know. I once had a bad experience with a motorcycle shop and they would not make it right. I contacted MasterCard and they held his payment. The motorcycle shop ended up apoligizing to me and removed all billing and returned my deposit that I had payed in cash. The credit card companies have way more clout with the merchants then the consumer. If you didn't pay by credit card then I think small claims court is your only recourse. Good Luck.
