Guest Will
I have a better idea : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1840590078 Yours is real nice, too! While we're dreaming, it would go really well with one of these: http://www.nitrouswarehouse.com/ls-spyder.htm
Boobala
$10,000.00 (reserve not yet met) for a used LT5! The BRAND NEW crate LS6 (Corvette Z06) engine above is "only" $8100.00. (including the chrome doodads).
Guest Anonymous
Ahhh, but its not a 32valve DOHC motor... The LT5 ain't cheap because they didn't make many. For that sort of coin I think I'd get a 427 SBC motown crate motor and be REAL happy with it. Regards, Lone

Mike C
It sure is pretty, but I'm too cheap! HT 383 sets you back about $3500 and that leaves $5000 for a used truck and a dirt bike! Or at least a WICKED paint job.
Boobala
Wow, that Motown 427 sure is sweet. I wonder how much it weights. I also worry that it wouldn’t be too street friendly. The LT5 is just too rare and costly to be practical. I wonder if it would it fit under the stock hood of a Z. It sure would look sweet sitting in the engine bay though. Definitely a project for someone with more money than me. Right now I’m about half way to having enough money saved to get a used LS1 / T56 combo. The LS6 is also too rare and costly to be practical. Besides, it wouldn't difficult at all to squeeze 405hp out of a much cheaper LS1. (Fully dressed LS1 weights about 450lbs) I posted it because www.hotrodlane.cc (Street & Performance) is first place I've seen that offers Crate LS6's.
