Guest mikey_clark
Anyone in the Sacramento area willing to take me for a ride in your V8 Z? I'd like to get an idea of what things like gearing, noise, power, etc are like. I could trade some project help for the ride.

Guest Mike The Vagrant
Sweet Bejeebus Racerz! That looks like a ride worth driving to Kansas for... 502 cubes under the hood? Big blocks are vicious.
Guest mikey_clark
I wanted to thank you again Miles, for the ride in your Z. It's sure got whiplash acceleration!!! FYI for other guys. The MSA mounting kit sure looks good in Miles' car. A question I thought of afterwards. Do you have to use an electric fuel pump with the MSA kit? If so, did you do a fuel cutoff switch on the oil sender like they recommend in the JTR manual?
Miles
Mike With the MSA mounts there is no room to mount a stock mechanical fuel pump. I bought a Holly from Tognotti's. I haven't got around to installing a oil pressure cut switch. There is not much room between the distributor and the fire wall so I have been investigateing using a hole that is plugged off next to where the oil filter screws to the 74 SBC block. I heard somewhere that you can install a pressure tranducer in that unused plugged hole. If anyone knows what that plugged hole is for let me know. It is right next to the oil filter on my 74 SBC. Let me know how your project is going. Miles
COZY Z COLE
Hi, The unused plugged hole next to the oil filter is a factory placed access for a sensor sending unit to a oil temperature guage or a oil line to a turbo, etc. LARRY
