OK i am in the process of buying a 72 240 that will end up being a v8z. I have built a v8z before with a friend and am anxious to start my own. Now the only support i have on this is none from family. They keep stressin to get a camaro. which is my second choice of cars. but every time i think bout it i think camaro with stock 350 then z with stock 350. and every time the z wins in my head. So what iam looking for is some of your most positive accomplishments, winnings and so on about building racing and just driving your Z's.

Thanks zach

Classic lines, light weight, and people giving me the " what the hell is that" look are just a few reasons to go for it. Also not to leave out the superior handling and stance the Z offers. Except for the minor wiring probs. you may encounter you need not worry about people saying "o look another camaro". Nothing wrong with camaros but I like different. If you need support I think you found a killer web site. This place rocks and that is a fact!!

Well you don't have to look any further than this site for support. Go down to the "I'm telling ya" section and read about my recent trip to the drag strip. Don't get a camaro or mustang, 'cause you will just become another face in the same car everyone else is driving. I can't tell you how many original hotrodders have come up to me and expressed admiration for what I have built. The car is everything I dreamed and more. And the looks I get from people when I drive up to the local cruises... Priceless!

POWER TO WEIGHT!! I haven't seen to many camaros in the mid 2K lb bracket. Plus IRS, rack and pinion steering, countless tips tricks and upgrades.

Go for a ride in a high HP Z and you'll never look back,...except to see the Camaro dissappearing..fast! Looks? The Z is a timeless classic.

Camaro? Hey, I like them too but the cost of building one, the fact that flippin' everyone has one, and the weight have made me happy with my Z. What are the chances of you pulling up to some youngster in a Camaro and having him go "Wow, what's THAT?!"? Happened to me with the stock 6 banger, can't wait to pull up with a V8 next time :-)

Nothing wrong with a Camaro but I think the Z would be more fun. Handle better for less cash too...
