Guest Looking for apt in Alb Ny
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33563&item=2437274247 Ad may have been expired if link doesn't show up at eBay. I am going to ask the seller if he has any info on the rotor which is 11.5 to get the wilwood caliper on the stock spindle mounts and get it to clear the 15 inch rims. he said he doesn't know much about the kit other than he is selling it for personal reasons. Does any one know where to get a 11.5 rotor I have look at 3 sites and found nothing. I would think Wilwood would have them but didn't see them at their site. Guest MistressMotorsports
Porterfield Enterprises in SoCal can get any size rotor you want. If there isn't a catalog rotor at exactly the diameter you are looking for, you can always ask them to cut it down. Mike
z-ya
Juan, Why not just use one of the Wilwood 11.00" ultra light straight vaned rotors? http://www.wilwood.com/products/rotors/ulv/index.asp Why not use this one that Summit carries? http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=WIL%2D160%2D5840 Pete
johnc
Coleman: http://www.colemanracing.com/ H81-1150-8 - Vented heavy duty 11.5" diameter, .810 thick with 8 mounting holes for $65.35. I run the exact same rotor except in 11" diameter on the front of my 240Z.
JMortensen
Wow, that's really surprising to me JohnC. I've been espousing the "don't run more wheel or brakes than you need" theory, but even I'd figure that you run into brake fade pretty quickly with 300 + hp on a road course with sticky tires and little 11" brakes. Am I wrong? Do you also have a massive ducting project completed in there too? Jon
johnc
I run Outlaw 2800 4 piston calipers front and rear with Hawk Black pads, Tilton master cylinders, prop valve, and balance bar, the above mentioned rotor in front, a solid Brembo rotor in the rear, and Hoosier 275/45-16 R3S03 DOT-R tires. I've never had a brake fade or braking problem and I can lock up all 4 tires at speed at will. I have raced at the following tracks in temperatures over 100 degrees: Buttonwillow (lots of configs) Streets of Willow Willow Springs Las Vegas Spring Mountain Thunderhill Its all about creating a balanced brake setup and getting air to the rotors. Bigger IS NOT BETTER when it comes to brakes, but people refuse to believe that.
