ToplessZ
Well Good news is my 73 240 imsa widebody is finally being transported from texas (just a quick thanx to spotfitz for his helpfulness this guy is top notch) Bad news.... Its headed for my parents driveway as there is no room at my apartment for something like this. Anyway I already have a Z and a half and by half that is literal I have one that I cut in half to transport pieces at a time to the jy after I pulled the good parts off. Anyhow he isnt very happy about the 2nd (plus or minus .5) arriving on wednesday. I dont think Im going to be able to move the .5 car because of the nasty weather an work until the weekend and we are having company on wed and thurs. So I need your advice on keeping the rents happy. Hopefully someone will have a big tip besides giving away my car to you thanks guys
Guest 240hybrid
The only thing I can think of, is to get a tarp to put over the 1/2 car, so it doesn't look as bad. Seeing half of a car every time you look out the window isn't too pleasing, but if its covered it won't attract as much attention to itself, or look (pardon the comment) as trashy sitting in the driveway. Outta sight, outta mind right?? A brown tarp won't attract as much attention to itself as a bright blue one either. Making a effort to get all the parts you want off it and get it outta there as fast as possible will please the parents too. At least it shows that you care and are trying to move as fast as possible. Good luck. Chase
denny411
Aren`t there any J/Y`s around you that would pick up the 1/2 shell for free?
Guest Nic-Rebel450CA
Where I live, we have public storage facilities that have secured lots that you can store RV's and such at. Some of them are as cheap as about $20 a month and are still secure enough to be comfortable with. Why not park the newly arriving Z in one of those places for a short time until you get the room at home?
MikeK280z
Do you have AAA. In the past, they have towed cars from driveways to the mechanic/JY. At least they have for full size cars. I can't speak for the .
Guest Nic-Rebel450CA
AAA will not tow to J/Y. AAA will not tow unregistered (I am assuming the .5 car is not registered) cars either unless you have a one-day moving permit. If you have any questions you are welcome to contact me at AAA. ToplessZ
well the half car is exactly that. less than half so not towable. Got a little crazy with the sawzall. However it is under a tarp unfortunatly a blue one. Its more the parking problem. Im going out to re arrange some things today to make more space and consolidate. Also going to cut the roof off for future use. hopefully we will have some nice weather asap. I wish hurst transport hadnt said it would be two weeks until it was picked up because I was counting on that. Now its going to be delivered in less than a week. It will be the first time I ever complain about speedy service
denny411
If your "new" ride is in running condition, maybe you can talk a friend into letting you park it at their place for a week or so. That might buy you a little time.
Forrest
Get them hooked on smack and keep them in good supply. That should take care of it. <-- Solves problems.
