Guest Cusp
He's only out on days numbered by 5 (days 5, 10, 15...) and he's on C1 outer, the clockwise course. He parks on the left side of the road, near the bottom of the map. Good Luck !!
Jay1970Z
Got it already, I was actually driving backwards at the time and just happened to luck out I guess. Mine now has a turbo V8 but its still not as fast as my R34 .
zero
I bought a Z, but i havent had option of swapping another engine in it yet. What did you have to do to unlock this. My r34 is as sick as it can be right now, though its only ~500hp. This game is as ricey as can be, but its still great fun.
Guest shuyun
Please tell how you unlocked the engine swap. I have everyone but the wanders all beat at 92% complete. I have a 300z square body, the 2L Fairlady 428?, the r32 and the r34 skylines. The last car in my garage keeps changin to match wat the wanders want. Jay1970Z
You have to put 1242 miles on the car you want to swap the engine into, or if you complete the game 100% you can do the swaps into any car.
Forrest
Disclaimer: I hate cheating!!! However, I bought this game in order to beat it with the S30. I was happy when I beat the wanderer with it, bought it - and then found out that the 2.0L engine it came with was so weak that I lost 9 out of 10 races, and I could only win the 10th one by using every trick in the book to stop the other cars from passing me. I read about putting the 1242 miles on it in order to do the swap and worked diligently to get the mileage up. After about 400 miles of 90% losing, (and the 10% wins were not much fun, as it was mostly a frantic battle to stop the other guy from passing), I quit playing. It just wasn't fun and I had no interest in even attempting to get enough miles (takes about the same time it would take you to put miles on your car in real life.) I have better things to do than waste my time on a game that is not even entertaining... ...until - I found out there was a way to trick the autopilot into driving the car for you. Here is the process: 1) Finish a race (win or lose, doesn't matter) 2) When the Free Run - Replay menu comes up, take the CD out of the PS2 3) Select Free Run on the menu Autopilot will try to pilot the car back onto the streets, but without the CD, it never turns off. So you can let it run for a few hours to get the mileage on the car up, and when it's done, put the CD back in, don't hit anything until the console has caught up and you see the background images again. Then go back to the garage, save, and swap away. Lucky they had this glitch or I wouldn't have bothered playing any more. Now my car is pretty fast but there are still faster cars out there and I can still lose. Perfect. Again, anyone using the S30 - please post your suspension settings, I'd like to compare. -Forrest
zero
not that im close to the point where i could swap an engine, but where do they source the engine you swap with, do you have a choice?
Jay1970Z
No you don't have a choice of where you get the engine from, you just select from an L4, L6, V8, etc.
Guest Cusp
The engine characteristics of the L6 turbo they offer in the swap seem close to the 2jzgte....3 liters, single turbo, similar powerband.
