Guest ON3GO
hey guys, im now starting to buy parts for my interior as its in pretty bad shape. but im pretty much lost on a few things i wanna do. my door panels will be straight Carbon Fiber with the stock arm rests and some type of window crank handles.. and i want the 240Z vinyl trim and etc. but im still lost on other things. so does anybody have any pics of there interior setups? like seats, rear hatch area, dash (anybody have any nice straight foward dash pics?), and etc. also does anybody have some cool ideas that would look nice in a Z's interior? thanks guys. mike
Guest Nic-Rebel450CA
My idea for my Z interior was to be to skin everything with a thin foam and vinyl (instead of all of the plastic pieces).

Tim240z
Mike, All my vinyl was tan, and summarily tossed in the trash. I even tore out the vinyl on the windshield pillars and the headliner and made new with 1/4 inch foam and black vinyl. I also covered all the plastic panels with same foam and vinyl. All gauges are 2 5/8, except tach and speedo (5"). The starter button is S2000 oem. Tim
Guest ON3GO
ah S2000, nice. prob even cheaper then the aftermarket ones. was it a pain to install? very nice again! mike

Guest ON3GO
thanks tim, im gonna go to the honda dealership and price it out.. do you have to use the button now to start the car or can you still just use the key?... best of luck in getting everything put together, its turning out AWESOME! mike
ZR8ED
Well I don't have any pics handy to post up, but I have custom door panels. I used the stock arm rest and window crank. But I showed the upolsterer (spelling?) my z31 door panels with the gathered leather insert above the arm rest, and had use his creative judgement to copy them. I'm very happy with the look. BTW my plastic panels were all off white.. I cleaned them thoroughly and painted them black with vinyl paint...worked great! been like that for more than 6 years...heck at the time I even painted my stock door panels...and they still had that soft flexible feel to them....(280 panels) My next step is to get some thin foam backed vinyl to wrap my roll cage bars. rc's240z
i dont believe that there is any difference in the location of where the gauges are on a 280 vs
rc's240z
fiberglass is $400.00 weighs less than 5lbs and looks great. It should fit your 280 fine.
