I was wondering since it is the same engine, would the TB from the Nissan Altima work as a good TB upgrade? I was looking at the one on the parts car that we have here.

I cant really tell what size it is but the linkage it uses is just like what we use on our Z's and ZX's.

Anyone know what size these are and or if they would even work??

Thanks

I once had a throttle body out of a 95 200sx se-r with the sr20 in it. It was 70mm and woulb bolt up. I got rid of it withought thinking about putting it on my Z. I gave it to the guy i traded myold car for the Z. I am surprised no one tried these. I think the older 91-94 had the same but tps was on the wrong side.

The first generation Altima TB is 55mm with a 66mm inlet.

I got this from my measurements of the TB at the base which was 2 3/16 inches(id), and the inlet 2 5/8 inches (id), in decimal form they go to 2.1875 and 2.625 respectively.

That which in turn translate to the above readings.

With all that said would it still be worth converting my 50mm TB for this 55mm TB, or just pass it up its not worth the hassle?
