I come in on Thursday, Nissan is giving me a Z for the week. I pick it up at the airport and drop it off at the airport, so transportation is no problem. On Friday I will be at Willow Springs for a track event and figured after that I would drive to La Habra and get a room near the shop so that I can goof off in the morning , but be nearby.

I'm guessing the welding thing is still on and will bring a welding helmet.

Otherwise, there's Motel Oasis, which is 1/4 mile away...don't know if it caters to any of John's employees :D:wink: , but here are the details:

Checked on the Embassy Suites and it was way too expensive. I found the

Anahiem Park Hotel, 222 West Houston Avenue, Fullerton CA 92832 at 1/3 the price but I can't seem to find a telephone number for them. I tried directory assistance and the yellow pages and web search with no luck. Is it possible for someone near there to get the phone number for me? Sorry to be such a pain.

Here's a list of some nearby reasonably priced hotels and motels:

Beach-La Habra Motel

770 S. Beach, LH (562) 691-7796

Holiday Inn Express

118 E. Orangethorpe, Placentia (714) 528-2500

Brea Hyland Motel

727 S. Breal Blvd, Brea (714) 990-6867

La Habra Motel

200 E. Whittier Blvd, LH (562) 697-0714

The Fullerton Inn

2601 W. Orangethorpe, Ful (714) 773-4900

I can't vouch for any of them because I've never stayed there. There's only one known prostitute hotel in La Habra and that's the Oasis Motel. If you're interested in staying there I can give you the number and they have rates down to the 1/2 hour.

This coming Saturday...

Saturday March 6th at 2:00pm PST. I'll give a talk about welding and do some MIG and TIG demos and let you guys do some practice on your own (my liability insurance guy is probably freaked).

I'll supply the pizza, you guys will need to bring the drinks (soda, beer, etc.) The shop address is:

637 S. Palm St.

Unit G

La Habra, CA 90631

(562) 691-4412

Cool!!! See you then!! I'll bring a couple of welding masks! I'll have to eat before I leave.....pizza is not diet friendly......I'll bring a bunch of beer (have stock and don't drink beer anymore!)

Here is a map:

btw I dont know if I can or can't make it... never know what's going on until the last minute. If the count is mainly to know how much food or drink to have dont worry about it if worse comes to worse I'll pick up some Mc D's before hand if it does turn out I can make it, and probably just bring a case of soda with me.

My car is still down (hopefully back running by friday if all goes as planned, but... does it ever?) and the car I bought for the wife is already having some problems :x:evil: so trying to keep the miles low until it's fixed. If my Z is done by Friday then like 90% likely I'll be there.
