allenrayn
I bought tokico shock's and springs for my 260z. But when I tried to put them together, It seemed like the springs did not fit in very well and they were not very tight like they should be . Can anyone help me? jonzer12
Would like to help you out but I think you need to explain the situaiton a bit more, a pic perhaps?
BillZ260
You have the lowered springs correct? I had the same concern when I got mine together. The spring is shorter than the strut assy when there is no load on it. So it should be fine if this is your concern. Whe you put the strut assy's back on the car just make sure you rotate the spring so that is sits in the seat correctly. allenrayn
Ok, Thanks, I do have the lowered springs. So I need to apply a load on the strut. One last question, how much torque do I apply on the bolt when I put it back together?
BillZ260
I think my struts said 150 lbs but i don't think that I got there. Just get them very tight.
240hoke
Hey, I my springs are a different type and they were also shorter. I decided to wire them in just in case. I just use some steel wire and drilled two holes in the bottom of hte lower spring perch and wired the spring in. Keeps them from moveing around while your gettin everything back together and if you should unload it while driving they shouldnt shift, my 2 cents.
