EvilRufusKay
Hey Guys looking for opinions on this idea. I currently have a full size 84 Bronco w/ 5.8 2 bbl carb. What are the possibilties of pulling a efi intake sensors and ecu out of a junker and making it work on my truck? I know it is probably not possible due to no crank or cam positioning sensors but thought I would ask. Any thoughts besides that I am nuts, or that I should just buy an EFI engine?!!! datsunlover
Im sure you could get it to run with a 'MegaSquirt' system.. Im thinking of one for my Z, but I already have the FI motor. The simplest solution would probly be to buy a ford EFI motor .. with a vehicle attached to it, so as to get all the nessesary wiring/computer/sensors all in one shot. Pathogen
I say go ahead and swap EFI. I recently purchased and 1987 Speed density system for my 5.0. I Got upper/lower intake, computer, harness, fuel rail, injectors, most sensors and distributor for about $120 USD. I've been reading through all these links about it and so far is seems as though its a fairly simple conversion. I wish the search was working because I know there is some good info in the archives.
