Guest BadKarmaCreepin Posted January 21, 2004 Share Posted January 21, 2004 i may have unintentionally roasted my engine while letting it run after sitting for an extended period in the freezing cold. i need a place to tow it to that won't screw me and knows something about z's. it's sitting in the glenview area (north suburb of chicago) any ideas? thanks! SBC_400 Posted January 21, 2004 Share Posted January 21, 2004 I dont know of any shops that are big time z places, or in the northern burbs, but I have full confidence in... 1) Gearhead Auto Repair in Glen Ellen, they are good friends of mine, and the main sponsor for my dirt track team. (my z will soon be there for the winter as well. 2) Helmut & Vitos Auto Service in Downers Grove I worked there when I was a kid and they always maintained my VWs they are work mainly on german cars, but will work on all imports. sorry I could not be of more help, but these are the only shops I deal with when I am not working on my car myself good luck scott Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

WOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!! depending on how this joint turns out, i may just have them install all my parts i have laying around... thanks for all the help! What is the current status on the turbo project? I would love to hang out sometime. Ivan and I are getting serious about getting the cars ready for Georgia in March.
