auxilary
Hey guys, with the wankel more or less where it needs to be, I need to lift the front of the engine slightly for clearance. We have it right now where the driveline is 1/8" difference between input on the transmission, and the differential. I would like to lift the engine another inch for oilpan clearance, so the transmission mount will be the pivot point (it can't go higher, won't clear the tunnel). How much of an angle is acceptable for u-joints to work smoothly? Is 4-5* angle overkill, or is it ok for normal driving/racing? Would it be wiser to attempt to raise the transmission (little denting action) to have both yokes at 2.5* angle, vs. having 1 yoke/joint at 5*? BillZ260
So 5 Deg total is fine then right? Just mak sure your CL's are parralell, and each angle is less than 3 Deg. I am stating this so I can say I understand it when it comes time to setting my drive line up, not because I know anything about it.
