Drax240z Posted February 2, 2004 Share Posted February 2, 2004 Informally yes.... For years I used to get together with a few friends and beat each other silly with bamboo sticks. (shinai) A few had some formal training at it, didn't seem to help them much though. We pretty much practiced the scottish school of swordfighting... Yell and scream and try to wack the other guy really hard. Seriously though, Kendo is pretty sweet. I do know a bit about it but haven't done it... why I don't know really. Congrats on First Dan. Mrtemp Posted February 3, 2004 Share Posted February 3, 2004 My little brother does it, it looks interesting, i wish i had time for it (currently taking jiujitsu and hapkido now).
