zeeboost
With the search function not working I can't find the answer, but I know it's in the archives, so here's the question: What size radiator fits best in a 280zx? I'm fixing to order a Griffin tonight and I just need to know what size to get. I believe it's a 26 X 19, but I couldn't find any info to back it up, so I'm just going to make sure before I order the wrong one. Also, I'm having some trouble removing the oil pan and ALL of the bolts are off -- any suggestions? (for a 350 sbc) Thanks
datsunlover
Timing chain cover on the front of the engine may be holding the pan. Or it could just be old gasket/goop holding it.... maybe the dipstick tube?
zeeboost
Oh yeah, I guess I should've mentioned that the engine is pretty much apart. I just picked up the heads today from the machine shop, and everything else except the block is in my room. I've pretty come to the conclusion that it's the previous sealer holding it on, but if it is, that's some damn strong sealer
80LS1T
Yeah 26" X 19" is perfect for the 280ZX. Guy
zeeboost
Whew, thanks Guy, that's reassuring. I called Summit and right before I ordered the radiator I checked this thread but nobody had replied yet so I just ordered the 26x19 assuming it was the right fit. Thanks for the words of relief
