Guest FLiPSyDe71
I have an RB26DETT motor from a Skyline that I'm going to drop into my 77Z and with the modifications that are going to be done to the engine, I'm shooting for the 700Hp mark. I already have the 8 point rollcage to stiffen up the chasis, Quaife differential upgrade for the R200 and the 280ZXT halfshaft conversion, but do you think the 5 lug rear stub axle conversion is necessary? Does anyone know what the breaking point is with 4 lugs? Any info would be great. Thanks! -jAy
Z-Gad
I was breaking the 280zx outer CV housing with less then 400RWHP. I think you should probably address that one first...
Guest Nic-Rebel450CA
I agree, while lugs are a weak link at some point, they are not likely to be at the top of the list.
Scottie-GNZ
While 5 is better than 4, 4 ARP studs should be very strong and cheap.
240Z_Master
Worry about your shaft and drivetrain.
j260z
you'll probably break a stub axle before the 4 bolt would go.
