akeizm
Heh, well here is the answer! My tension wrench when set to 78nm, was actually 105nm!!!!!! So no wonder why I've snapped 1 bolt, stretched 3 and stripped a hole in the block. Got a totally new set of bolts, Heli-coil set and the wrench fixed. Finally, be able to fix my car! Pop N Wood
I read somewhere that beam type torque wrenches hold their calibration better than the click type. I guess if you can't afford to get them calibrated from time to time then sometimes cheaper is better. God awful lot of work either way. preith
One thing I learned the hard way, always return the "click types" to zero as soon as your done using it.
auxilary
Dude, you want a pile of headbolts? I have them in a box, used. I have no use for them, and I'm going to throw them out. Pay shipping and they're yours
akeizm
Haha nah, I got some brandnew ones from Nissan. But the car would have been done last weekend if I knew the wrench was busted Awww well, I guess I learnt something, check my tension wrench before using it (e.g. get it tested)
