slownrusty
Absolutely my favorite BMW of all time, good ole 635CSI (next to the 2002Tii Turbo). Dinan and Calloway both had 400hp turbo kits for these cars, that made them menacing. The M635CSI with 6 individual throttle bodies, 24V and twin cams made 288hp and that was smogged and choked to death. Incredible car. Love the wheels too by the way. LS1 conversion would be different, not for the purists but to each their own. Lots of power to uncork at least. Regards - Yasin
Administrators SuperDan Posted March 4, 2004 Author Administrators Share Posted March 4, 2004 Nah, I am going to keep the stock engine. I just like giving Tim a hard time I might juice up the motor a little but dang!, if you say BMW and performance parts in the same sentance be ready for some major $$$$$. Camshaft = $600, just the cam, nothing else Head work = $2500, just a basic polish and port. Turbo kit = $5000 - $6000 I think it might be awhile before the wife gives me the green light to do anything. Dan
Sumo
You've been watching a lot of old 'Moonlighting' episodes havent you? I used to drive one of those but the one i had was the 635 LS. 8) So if you ever succumb to the LS1 swap just ad the "LS1" logo beside the 635. Administrators SuperDan Posted March 5, 2004 Author Administrators Share Posted March 5, 2004 Tim, I wish I had the cash. I let my wife drive my car one day to work. BIG MISTAKE! Wife "Oh, it's so nice, handles great and has lots of power" Me " Just give me the keys, here is your Xterra back" Wife " Maybe we should trade once and a while" Me "Yeah, thats gonna happen. GIVE ME MY KEYS BACK OR LOSE A ARM" Dan
