Guest BillV
I noticed you have new wheels, they look great! What size and offset are they? Do they rub? I'd like to replace the 14's on my 83ZX w/ some 16's, but don't want to change the diameter much.
Guest greimann
They are fakes, for now. A Corel Photo Paint cut and paste from a tire rack ad. I figure that If I see them enough, I'll spring for them one day. They are ASA JS5's, 17X7. Will need to get a set of spacers from Ross C. at Modern Motorsport to mount them up. A set of 225-45 R17 tires will fit very nicely.
danc
Greimann: I noticed the same thing. I was going to ask you if you were interested in unloading your old ones. Nice fake wheels though!
Phantom
Not sure how ZX compares to older 280Z. My '77 is running Center Line 16x7's with 0 offset and 225/50-16's on all four corners. If I had it to do over again I'd have gotten a 5 or 10 mm offset that would have moved them slightly closer to the center of the body. I occaisionally rub the rear fender well inner lip. The wheels were built to my specs (no spacers) and cost about $200 each through Discount Tire. YOu can see the wheels over at zcar.com - Feb. '99 Zcar of the month. Guest BillV
I was wondering about that, it looked like the photo was exactly the same except for the wheels. Nice look
