EvilRufusKay
I am considering MSA's 4 or 6 point cage. My question regards head room. In one of the posts I found in one of my searches someone stated that there was not much head room for taller drivers. Has anyone eles come across this problem? I looked at 80LT1's Roll Bar and it looked like I would whack the back ouf my head on the cross bar. I want to put one in because I am replacing the original 1/4's with glass ones and want the rigidity. Any comments on other methods like strut braces etc. or different types of roll bars would be appreciated!!!
JMortensen
I believe the MSA roll bar is an Autopower bar which bolts to the fenderwells. You'd be much better off getting one that welded to the strut towers and the roof and the fenderwells if you are looking to stiffen the chassis. Maybe weld a pipe between the strut towers too. EvilRufusKay
Any suggestion as to where I should look. I was just at autopowers site, you are right on both counts....BTW just sent you a PM.
rc's240z
http://www.pdkfabrication.com for ideas, it's a long drive from NY to get the work done by PDK. But, you might get some ideas for the roll cage that is in my Z pictured on their site. I am 6'2" and with helmet needed all the room I could get. PDK does make a bolt in strut brace for the front too, also listed on their website. Hope that helps. Ron
EvilRufusKay
Thanks Ron! The name rings a bell, I think I have seen them discussed on the board before. I will take a look. Rufus
