maichor
I have a set of plain steel 3.5" OD 180 U bends that I have mocked up on the car. They look too big so I am going to return them, but it means I have to get a custom set. So, I want it right. Which style do you like best. The classic U or less than 180 bend. Or This last one is the style I have now but 1" diameter larger. What do you guys think?
EvilRufusKay
I like the top ones much better.
Dan Juday
On the VR bodywork I think the classic 180's are more appropriate. Here is Jim Williams baby.
Jason Jarvis
Just looking at the hoops, I like the ones on the Z3 better, but I think the point about the classic 180 style on the VR is a good one. I think classic 180s, but in chrome. Jason
Wagz
I've been mulling this same question on my VR project. I've been considering the M3 style hoops myself (although, the ones on the M3 above look too tall). Personally, I just don't like the 180 hoops at all. I formed that opinion when I saw Jim Williams car in Kit Car Mag. Maybe if they were chromed rather than body colored they would look better.
