johnc
The John Coffey new paint care method: 1. Pick up the freshly painted hood and hatch the day before the race. 2. Drill holes for hood pins and mount hatch glass. 3. Put stickers on. 4. Race the next day and cover newly painted hood and hatch with dirt and grass after going off the track. 5. Blow off dirt and grass with air hose. 6. Park car in trailer.
Guest JAMIE T
I guess you could add to the "Race Car" paint care, Have your painter match it to an easily available Krylon color for quick touch-ups. The last race car I was involved with was "Krylon White".
Guest Z-fried
Or you can match it to whatever duct tape you plan on using!
Phantom
Actually, one of the best paint care tips is to keep the car in a garage any time it's not on the road. The paint job on my car is over 6 years old now and I still get asked who painted it. I see all the nicks & dings but, overall, it still looks good. Phantom
Hey - I did say to garage it just when you're not driving it - NOT forever like the JSR folks!
