ToplessZ
Ok This is not for me but I promised I would ask all you knowledgable fellows. Did all zx's come with the r200 or did the 79 come with r180 and r200. Also since the 79 zx has half shafts would the cv shafts from the zxt's be a bolt in or do you need the zxt companion flanges? Thanks for the help
blueovalz
The CV-jointed and the U-jointed halfshafts use differing companion flanges (differing bolt patterns). So I would say that, yes, the companion flanges would need to be exchanged along with the halfshafts.
Brad-ManQ45
All 280ZX's did not have R200's. All automatics had R180's. Some manuals too... Check out the techical article on rear ends/ratios here: http://zhome.com/
80LS1T
The companion flanges are not the same. I had to swap them over from a 280ZXT that had the R200 and CV's. If you have an questions about the swap just let me know I also have a page on my site with some info on the swap. Guy
