Guest Loose_Screws
Should any check valves be installed on the vacuum lines going to the brake booster and heater controls after turbocharging a stock '77 280Z? I have actually driven the car a good bit without adding any check valves. Would this damage the brake booster or dash control panel for the heater/ac controls? cygnusx1
Hey glad to see this topic here. I thought about this also when doing my swap and I did decide to put in check valves on all the old vacuum lines. Why not, it cant hurt. Dave
TimZ
Yes you should definitely have check valves for both the brake booster and the vacuum accessories. The stock check valves will suffice.

Tony D
I used the check valves from the donor car (83ZXT) on the vacuum system, and the original brake booster check valve from the 260. I have been running the stock brake booster check valve in my turbo 240 since 87 with no problems. But yeah, I grabbed the turbo check valves (which looked the same as the stock 260Z check valves) and used them on the vacuum reservoir for the heater controls.
