BIGJIM
im having some issues with my 280zxt. i have lowering springs with kyb gr2 struts. the car bottoms out very easily. do i need a stiffer strut like a tokico or koni? i have bump stops in it up front as well and the slightest bump feels like a giant pot hole. Mike kZ
Check and see how much travel you have between the top of the strut and bottom of the bumpstop when it's all the way up. You should have at least 3 " If not you may have to section your strut housings if you want to keep the same stance.
JMortensen
You can section the front and use 240Z front struts, but there isn't much to be done in the rear. You might be able to shave the bump stops (?) but that's about it back there. So if you can't get more travel by raising the car up, the next best thing would be to stiffen the springs and get shocks and struts to match. johnc
KYB GR2s have very soft comrpession damping and are easy to bottom out. I have a set on the stock ride height 77 810 and I have to watch out for big bumps, driveways, etc.
