Guest kc6wfs
Hello all, This is my 1st time posting here, I need some ideas(photos would help). I'm just about done with my conversion 2000 Vortec 5.7L/1984 700R4 and I'm wanting to do a mechanical rod linkage to the Holley carb. Thats about the only think i think thats going to slow me down. Any other ideas???? I have newly scanned pics from the start/present here: http://www.geocities.com/hollywood/5860/240z.html Thanks everyone Dave Booth
Drax240z
Welcome to hybridz.org Dave. Very sweet looking car. I like how you have your page setup too. Its good to see someone recording all costs and posting them as well, so that people can get some idea of what doing the coversion costs. Welcome again. ------------------ "Gimme Fuel, Gimme Fire, Gimme that which I desire" -Metallica Drax240z 1972 240z - L28TURBO transplant on the way! http://members.xoom.com/r_lewis/datsun.html
MYRON
Dave, Welcome! Your best bet for a throttle linkage is to buy the universal cable from Lokar. You can get it out of summit/jegs for around 30 bucks. You will have to remove your gas pedal and drill a hole in the end... Myron
Mike kZ
Lee, who is a member here came up with this approach. He took a thick copper tube and bent it into an Z shape (of course).Flattened the ends and attached one end to the carb the other to the peddle. It works real well! Just make sure it dosen't hit anything in its travel. You can see a pic of it here: http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/zcar4.html [This message has been edited by Mike kZ (edited November 17, 2000).]
